Plane Crazy (1929) is the very first Mickey Mouse cartoon ever produced, created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks.
Originally made as a silent short, Plane Crazy was previewed to test audiences but failed to secure a distributor. It was later released with sound after the success of Steamboat Willie. Despite being Mickey’s debut production, it became the fourth Mickey cartoon released to the public.
Plot:
Mickey Mouse, inspired by Charles Lindbergh, builds his own airplane to impress Minnie Mouse. But his reckless flying leads to comic chaos in true slapstick style.
